Two Killed By Lightning British Official Wireless Service. RUGBY, September 7. Local storms of unusual severity were experienced in Northern Scotland. During one of these, near Dingwall, Mr Malcolm MacDonald, Dominions Secretary, and the driver of the car in
which he was travelling were temporarily blinded by a flash of lightning which put the ignition of the car out of order and caused a dangerous skid. Skilful handling prevented the car overturning and the Minister and chauffeur were able to effect repairs. A severe storm also raged over central London for several hours thia afternoon. Two Visitors to London sheltering under a tree in St. James’s
Park, near Buckingham Palaee, were struck by lightning and killed.
