Rearing Kittens
(To the Editor.) Sir,—lf anyone interested would spare time to reply to this letter 1 would be very grateful. Over a period of about four months 1 have tried to keep a pet kitten and one after another they have hud to be destroyed owing to a sickness. Two of them sickened within about two days, and begun to vomit worms. Kight up until then they were extremely healthy and on becoming sick I doctored them with castor oil. The first one suffered so much I had it destroyed rather than force worm medicine on it and the second one 1 had destroyed immediately on discovering it had the same disease. 1 have been told these are called lung worms. Is there any cure for this complaint? Several other kittens just went right oft' their food and ate barely enough to keep them alive, gradually becoming weaker and weaker. Has there lately been any disease prevalent among cats with these symptoms?— Yours, etc., A CAT LOVER. Hastings, June 19, 1936.
