Monthly Meeting of Board

The monthly meeting of the Hastings High School Board was held las’, evening. Accounts totalling £l5Bl were passed for payment. The Education Department sent notification of grants of £l9 8/6 to repair damage caused by the storm ou February 2, £l5 for geography equipment, and smaller amounts for other purposes.

Rush-Munro was granted three months’ leave of absence. The Education Department advised that pupils from the Clive-Whakafu district, provided they live more than three miles from the High School, shall be given free railway bus tickets. The offer of Mr. J. Stickland to arrange a boxing tournament by Parkvale pupils in aid of the assembly hall fund was left to the principal with power to act.
