Wairarapa Representatives Chosen HAWKE’S BAY MATCH Telegraph—Special to “Tribune." MASTEBTON, June 16. The sole selector, Mr H. J. McKenzie, lias chosen the following senior Rugby team to represent Wairarapa against Hawke’s Bay at Napier on the King’s Birthday:— Full-Back: 1.. Connolly Three-Quarters: J. Lastwood. A. Lang W. Peterson Five-Eighths: R. Nunn (captain), F. Henson Halt: A. Steffiert Forwards; Front Row: G. Wilson, J, Walker, Ji. Gillespie. Second row; G. Laing, P. Ward, I. McGregor, N. Trass. Baek Row: C. Grantham. Reserves.—Baeks: G. Udy, R. Johnston. Forwards: C. Vareoe, It. Howard. The team is practically the same as that which defeated Bush Districts last week, and is one of the youngest and fastest that lias represented Wairarapa for some years. The wings, Fastwood and Peterson, are promoted juniors with pace to burn. Nunn, who is skipper of the side, lias been shifted from half to first five-eighths, w'hile his partner, Henson, played in tho junior representatives lust year. The fullback, Connolly, is a former South Island representative. There are several new faces in- the forwards, who, though on the light side, are fast and are solid toilers. The Bay will no doubt miss Stringfellow, who since 1925 has played for Wairarapa in every game against the Bay. Stringfellow, who is in hospital, wrote finis to his football career recently when he broke an ankle in a club game.
