Government of 20 Well-Paid Men Suggested PLAN FOR AUSTRALIA (By Telegraph—-Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Received 17, 11.45 a.m.) MELBOURNE, June 17. Describing tho present Parliamentary Government as being carried on by “a lot of nondescripts pulling the strings in the background,” Mr C. J. Cerutty, former Commonwealth Auditor-Genera 1 Suggested a new system of government, liis idea being that judges of the High Court and Bupreipc Court be empowered to appoint the Government of Australia, this to be composed of 20 well paid members drawn from all sections of the people. Ho also suggested that political boundaries be abolished. Air Cerutty added, “Although demo cracy was conceived ou a high plane, theoretically it has descended in practice to such depths of degeneracy aud corruption thut some change seems uouird to conic. ’ ’
