EXCELLENT FIELDS
Those interested are reminded that trainers’ and attendants’ tickets for the Napier Park Racing Club’s winter meeting may be obtained from the secretary, Air J. E. Gleadow, at the Pacific Hotel, Hastings, to-morrow, Thursday, from 4 to 4.30 p.m. The acceptances received for the opening day of the meeting on Saturday are exceilext, and augur well for a very successful meeting. The winter meeting is always oue of the most popular of the club’s fixtures, and as the second day’s racing will be on Tuesday next (King’s Birthday) there should be a very large attendance. Not since the Napier Park Racing Club held a summer meeting on New Year’s Day and January 2, has the club had a public holiday to race on, and it intends to commemorate the King’s Birthday in a fitting manner. The first race on Saturday will begin at noon, while on Tuesday it will start at 11.30 a.m. in order to give patrons an opportunity of witnessing the racing and also the representative Rugby football match in Napier.
