Entries for Championship (Received 9. 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 8. Tho entry for the open golf championship numbers 286, compared with the record of 312 in 1934. After two qualifying rounds, the hundred lowest scorers and all tieing for hundredth place, enter tho championship, which begins at tho Royal Southport links, Hoylake, on Juno 24 over four medal rounds. Ferrier has been drawn with J. K. Kinnell, from Kenya, and the titleholder, Alf Perry, with W. Nolan, Portmarnock. The American entries include Gene Sarazen. Joe Ezar, and Tommy Armour. Altogether there are only 30 overseas entries, including Locke.
