LATE MR. W. M. O’HARA

Remains Brought Back to New Zealand By Telegraph—Pres s Association. AUCKLAND, June 8. Covered by a Union Jack, a coffin containing the body of the late Mr. W. M. O'Hara, the noted New Zealand aviator, who was killed on May 24 in an aeroplane crash at Eumungerie, New South Wales, was swung ashore from the Monowai soon after the vessel berthed to-night. Waiting to the wharf to accept the coffin were Mr. O’Hara’s brother-in-law, Mr. E. Maciutyre, of Warkworth, SquadronLeader Isitt and Flying-Officer Kay,' representing the Royal New Zealand Air Force, tho president, Mr. Spencer Mason, and members of the executive of the Auckland Aero Club, representatives of the Auckland Returned Soldiers’ Association and former members of th# New Zealand Machine-Gun Corps, with which Mr. O’Hara was associated in France. Captain Bauer, vice-consul for the Netherlands, wTio was a close friend of Mr. O’Hara, was also present. The coffin was taken to a mortuary van on tho wharf. Former comrades and friends of Mr. O’Hara marched with bared heads behind a trolley which bore wreaths from different organisations, including one, in the shape ol a miniature aeroplane, from tho Auckland Aero Club. Tho wreaths were placed inside tho van, and tho procession followed the train to the wharf gates, where a halt was made to allow the Mayor. Mr. Ernest Davis, to lay a wreath on behalf of the city of Auckland The coffin was conveyed by train to Hamilton to-night There it will be received to-morrow by members ol the Waikato Returned Soldiers’ As soeiation, who have made the funeral arrangements and gome of whom will be pallbearers The funeral procession will start from Hamilton in the morning. and alter :i service at Hikutaia the burial will take place at Wharepoa, near Thames.
