Magistrate’s Court Sitting From Our Own Correspondent WAIPAWA, June 5. A special summoned meeting of the Loyal Abbotsford Lodge, Manchestoi Unity Oddfellows, was held on Thurs day, the N.G. Bro. Ft. Kirk presiding. By invitation, members of the Ruataniwha Lodge of Past Grands paid an official visit. One member was initiated into the order and two candidates proposed for membership. The installation of the N.G. elect Bro. J. Bosley, and the V.G. elect, Sis ter B. Weston, was carried out by the D.G.M. Bro. Reg. Cook, assisted by members of the Past Grands Lodge P.G.’s Bros. W. Harris and E. Kingston acted as conductors. Supporting officers for the ensuing term were appointed as follow:L.S.N.G. Bro. C. Whyman; R.S.N.G. Bro. M. Adams; L.S.V.G. Sister W Hurst; E.S.V.G. Bro. M. Fair; Warden, Bro. W. Christensen; Guardian, Bro D Petherick; Pianist, Sister B. Limbrick; Conductors. P.G. Bro. R-. Hutchings and P.G. Bro. W. Harris. P.G. 's Bros. W. J. Harris, J Kirk. F Wallis, and H. C. Mustehin were ap pointed as degree masters. During the evening the D.G.M. presented Purple Degree certificates (o Bros. W. J. Harris a.nd J. Kirk. A resolution was passed at the Jact meeting of the lodge that the meeting night lie changed to Tlliirsday was rescinded, as the change was unsuitable for.some members. COURT SITTING. The monthly sitting of the Waipawa Magistrate's Court was held yesterday morning before Mr J. Miller, S.M. Judgments worn entered ns follow:— R. A. Rouse v. McGnflin, £4 U.i/7, cnstu £ 5/6; W. P. Mitchell v. M. Holder, £3 19 '4. costs £1 3/6. W. J. Rouse was ordered to pay maintenance at the rate of £1 10/- per week for his wife and child, with pail maintenance amounting to £lB. Separation and guardianship orders were also entered for the wife. BANKRUPT’B DEFICIENCY. The statement of unsecured • -editors of Letitica May Young, a fro ’ rer, oi Waipawa, who has filed a p< lion in bankruptcy in Napier, shows a do ficiency of £332 19/7, assets 'falling £l3B, the total debts being £479 19/7. PEREOxNAL. Mr L. A. Browne, of Te Ng n. We 1 - lington, is at present visiting \. lipawa. Mrs A. Scott senr., and Mr . .Scott jnr., Te Kuiti. have arrived to take up residence in Waipawa.
