H.B. JOCKEY CLUB
Meeting of Committee The committee of the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club met in the tea kiosk on Friday afternoon. Present: Mr G. D. Beatson (chairman), Messrs T. V. iforrin, w. A. Tod, W. J. Wood, F. P. Kelly, J. A. Marfarlane, H. R. Peacock, T. S. Roulston, J. N. Lowry, J. J. Gatenby, G. Ebbett, J. S. McLeod and G. A. Maddison. Advice was received that the Waipawa County Racing Club had received permission to race at. Hastings for its Labour Day meeting. A report was received from Mr J. 8. McAven that the painting of the girders was completed. Satisfaction was expressed at the added appearance to the stands. The Now Zealand Racing Conference wrote with regard to the stipendiary slewards’ reports on inquiries al. races to be handed to the press. The ebnfSrence forwarded list ot dates applied for for the 1936-37 season. It rras resolved to take steps with regard to the efficiency of the totalisa tor by speeding up the various departments and avoiding delays. Accounts were passed for payment subject to the approval of tho treasurer.
