A copyright message from Mr. Rugli Ruttledgo at Camy Three dated June 4, says tlia fa careful reconnaissance of the North'Col, under tho {leadership of Mr. Smythe, in tho morning, was confined to tho impression that a northwesterly g'.ie rendered an ascent justifiable. “Snow ii> now clearing fast from tho north face cf Everest, and wo are making an early start to-morrow. Al] tho climbers are taking turns at remaking tho track and to free the , -e with a ladder and ropes, enabling the rst assault by a party consisting of Messrs. Smythe, Shipton and their porters. They will re-occupy Camp Four, and the ascent will be carried through without delay if conditions permit.
