COMING EVENTS Ou Wednesday, June 19, at 7.30 pm. the Havelock Noith Women's institute is holuing an open evening to celebrate the eleventh birthday of the organisation. There will be a first-class musical piogramme, also a play by members oi the Haumoana Institute and a sketch in dialect. After supper a dance will be held until midnight. A cordial invitation is extended to all. A talk on “Care of the Feet” will be given at the meeting of the Hastings Townswomen’s Guild in the Dudfellows’ Hull on Thursday, June 11, at 2.30 pm. Reversing the usual order, the Her. K. B. Gosnell will lake as his subject to-morrow evening “Sermons Tlmi Would Keep Ale Awake,’' in which the speaker will imagine liimseli to be a member of the congregation. The service commences at 7 and a hearty welcome is assured all who worship in the Hastings Methodist Church. tn addition to the anthem “Across the Bar,’’ a solo will be rendered by Miss Joyce Symonds, and the new hymn books will be introduced by the choir.
