Air. and Mrs. 11. W. C. Baird leave Hastings by car to-morrow morning for Auckland, where they will board tho Aorangi for Sydney en route to the Far East.
Mr. M. Latherland, of the Hamilton office of the Public Trustee, has received notice of his transfer to Stratford, while Mr. J. Murphy is being transferred to Palmerston North. Mr. Coicbonrnc of the Gisborne office,.has been transferred to Hamilton.
Mr. S. A. Cooper, B.Sc., Fairlie, lias received word ol his appointment by tho Rotorua High Sellout Board to the position ol siienee and agricultural muster, in succession to Mr. N. P. Pitcaithley, who has accepted a position on the staff of the Ikuineuno High School.
Mr R. V. Davys (Hastings), Mr W. J. Harding (Napier) and Mr A. W. Breton (Hastings) qualified for tho A pilot’s licence during tests conducted at the Hawke’s Bay and East Coast Aero Club recently by Flight-Lieutenant Buckley.
Squadron-Lender T. W. White, chief pilot, of East Coast Airways, Ltd., has been temporarily engaged by the Middle Districts Aero Club, with headquarters at Milson Aerodrome, Palmerston North, to act as pilot-instructor to tho club during tho suspension of the former company’s operations, due to the reconstruction and improvement of the Dartou Field Aerodrome, Gisborne.
