G. Quinn, 220yds. amateur track champion of New Zealand, has changed from hookey to Rugby as hia winter pursuit. Ho is playing as Wing-three-quarter for the Marist senior team in Gisborne.
Bolstering Up a Case. A choice sample of football criticism is this from an English paper; “Jt is certain that the All Blacks side was easily the weakest of the three teams which have visited us, and it is quite probable that they were the weakest of the five international sides of the laason," writes "Harlequin” in un English paper. “England and Wales both defeated them, and a very strong case can be made out for Ireland. And even Scotland, in this winter of her discontent, put up such a strenuous fight that it is quite likely that only an injury to one of her three-quarters turned the scales.’’ The All Blacks beat Scotland by 18 to 8 and beat Ireland by 17 to 9, decisive enough in both cases. In the Scottish match, Murdoch was not,the only player injured. Here. the New Zealand forward, was so badly hurt early in the first spell that he could not play again for a month.
