FAMILY GOES HIKING
Mother and Children Tour North Island By Telegraph —Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 4. A mother and four children from Wellington, who are on a walking tour around the North Island, arrived in Auckland to-night from To Kuiti. Ever since their enterprise became known, motorists and lorry drivers have been on the look-out for them and have given them lifts, so that their progress has been much more rapid than was expected. The motor rides, however, were nut always pleasant and the family, so far from having had a surfeit of walking, got down from a car yesterday when the whole family had snnsntions of ear sickness. “We have had a very good trip and have received every kindness,” said tho mother. “After a holiday in Auckland wo will go home down the East Coast.”
