MID-WEEK HOCKEY
Yesterday’s Play in Hastings Matches in the Thursday hockey competition were played under ideal conditions in Hastings yesterday. United White emerged victorious ever United Gold by three goals to nil after a well-contested game. O’Neill (2) and McNab fi) were the scorers. Messrs Mardon and McDonald were the umpires. Karori (1) played a drawn game against Pirates (1). Both sides missed many chances, but the goalkeepers made many good saves. Taylor scored for Karori, Cameron securing I’lrates’ goal. Messrs Mahoney and McNab refereed. ■ Jluia defeated Waimarama, who wero without the services of McKay, bv three goals to nil. Tau Hemapo (lj, Nuku (1) and Kogers (1) goaied lor the winners.—Mr Mardon umpired the game. In the junior match Karori drew with Pirates, 1 all. Horton for Karon, and Heyward for Pirates were nio scorers.—-Messrs Parkhill and Howlands umpired.
TARADALE TEAMS
The following Taradale teams will play in the hockey matches at the week-end:— Senior men v. Seinde, at Napier No. 1, 3.30 p.m.: Croffs, Collinge, Hill Williams, Reti, Fussel, Boston, Haraki, Teniha, Gray, McKinley, Harrison, Evetts. Junior men v. Kiwi B, at Taradale, 2 p.m.: Richardson, Tareha, Evans, Pollock, McGrath, Mehan, Line, Oliver, Boston, Hill, Miller. Junior women v. Westshorc, at Napier, 1.20 p.m.: Misses E. Croucher, N. Oliver, B. Tarehg, Anderson, Jones, R. Wright, G. Atkins, J. Croucher, F. Robson, M. Oliver, D. Wright.
