FEW STORE CATTLE

Four Lines at Stortford Sale

Only four lines of station store cattle were offered at Stortford Lodge yesterday, when the offering consisted of breeding cows and weaner steers and heifers. The principal eutry of tows was on account of McKay Bros., Te Haire, beiug a particularly well-bred P.A. line iu forward store condition, which realised £7 11/-. Two good pens of well-grown weaners, iu from Maraetotara, sold well. Values were made as under:—

A line of 19 deherued Hereford cows, in light store order due to a long road lourney, made £4 14/-. A line of 55 <lean-bred Hereford weaner steers in good condition, being a hardy line, was passed at £4 5/-. On account of McKay Bros., Tc Maire, 100 well-bred 4-yeai P.A. cows from a long-established herd made £7 11/-. The line, which was in calf to a P.A bull, was in splendid store condi tion, being a first-class line of young breeding cows.

In from Maraetotara. n line of 11 nicely-grown P.A. and P.A.-Hereford cross weaner heifers in splendid condition brought £3 I)/-.
