NEW PENSIONS BILL
Part of Ordinary Work of Session AFTER THE RECESS By Telegraph—Press Association, WELLINGTON, June 2 It was ascertained to-night from the Minister of Pensions, the Hou. W, E. Parry, that legislation as the result of the Government’s review of the pensions laws would be introduced when Parliament entered on the ordinary work of tho session. “The Bill cannot be put into definite shape until all reports on the financial position of the country are completed,’’ said Mr Parry. “When members reassemble there will be ample opportunity for considering the pensions legislation.’’ Questioned as to whether the Pen sions Bill would bo framed to provide for restoration of the cuts made some time ago, the Minister said: “The Pensions Bill to be introduced will not mere’y provide for restoration of thu cuts but will be a Bill covering the civil pensions now ia operation.”
