Opposed by Napier Council That the suggestion to establish a. motorists’ eampiiig-grouud on the beach at Napier should not be enter tained was the decision reached at a meeting of the Napier Borough Council last night. The recommendation was made to the council ovei a month ago by the custodian of the motor-camp at the corner of George’s Drive and Nel son Crescent, because at the busy holiday periods the present ground had uot been adequate to accommodate the number of visitors who came to Napier. The resenes committee of the council. requested to report upon the matter to the council, recommended that the custodian. Mr J. J. Lowry, be thanked for his suggestion, but that it he not entertained. This was agreed to.
