OBITUARY

Mrs. Annie Anderson There passed away at Dannevirke on Monday night Mrs Annie Anderson, relict of the late Mr Carl Anderson. Mrs Anderson was tho last of the adult immigrants who came to New Zealand in IS7I from Norway in the sailing ship Sehehallion. Eighteen families came to Wellington in that ship, each being allowed transport accommodation for two children. Although there are a number of immigrants who were children on tho voyage surviving, with the passing of Mrs Anderson there has gone the last of tho adult passengers. Mrs Anderson was 89 years of age. Following their landing at Wellington, Mr and Mrs Anderson went to Palmerston North, via Foxton, with the others from the ship. Subsequently they removed to Dannevirke, and with the exception of a period in which she visited California Mrs Anderson had resided there for over 50 years. Her kindly disposition won her a host of friends. Six sons are left to mourn their loss, these being Messrs Albert Anderson (Piripiri), Thorval and Casper Anderson (Dannevirke), Alfred Anderson (Tauranga), Emil Anderson (Hamilton), and Oscar Anderson
