'The notice states that on September 1, 1931, an unknown woman was found murdered on the Albury-Howlong road, near Albury, N.S.W., and up to the present the body has not been identified. In addition to the i eward of £5OO offered by the Government for such information as will lead to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons who committed the murder, a reward of £2OO will be paid to any person who may supply information which will lead to tho identification of the body. The description <of the body is given as follows: —From 22 to 27 years of age; height not more than Cl’t. lin.; slim to medium build; body well formed and proportioned; light-brown hair, which has been peroxided or bleached; blue-grey eyes, plucked eyebrows ; small superficial scar of back of basil phalanx of right middle finger; believed to be English, or European, rather than Australian extraction; ears are peculiar, part of the edge being imperfect and there is very little, if any, lobe present, the whole giving a very distinctive anil unpleasant shape. There then follows a detailed description of the fillings of the teeth and a description of the mouth. The notice adds that the body was clothed in maize, or light canarycoloured pyjama coat made of Shanghai crepe, which contains a small percentage of artificial silk. Across the front is a Chinese dragon worked in white silk,-- the tail finishing on the left breast. The trousers are made of similar material, but are white with yellow borders around the bottom, with a white Oriental design thereon. Around the head was wrapped a large white towel of Japanese manufacture. On the hem is a laundry mark, which could be deciphered as “R.1.W.,” “R.C.0.,” or “Q.1.W.” The offer of a reward is to remain in force for a period of three months from March 13, 1936.
