LITTLE LAUGHS
The teacher was trying to impress the class with the importance of always being kind and thoughtful. “Now,” she said. “Can any of you say that you have made somebody really glad over the week-end?” One little hand shot up. “I think I did,” said small Peter. “How splendid!” exclaimed teacher, “What did you do?” “J stayed with my auntie,” explained Peter earnestly, “and when it was time for me to come home, she said: ‘l’m glad you are going!’” Bill: Is all that cake for Tom, Mother? Mother: No. sonnie. that’s for you. Bill: Oh! What a tiny piece. Big Sister: “What are you playing with. Nancy?” Little Nancy: “A caterpillar and two little kitten pillars.” “What is your new brother’s name ?” Little Jane: “I don't know yet. We can’t understand a word he says.”
