Appearance in N.Z. TOUR OF STATIONS From time to time complaints are made regarding the importation of Australian artists by the Broadcasting Board. Listeners, however, should find no complaint at the engagement of Miss Gladys Lorimer, the former Christchurch girl, who has recently completed a highly successful season under engagement to the Australian Broadcasting Commission. Miss Lorimer recently opened a tour of the New Zealand ‘national stations lasting eight weeks. She has recently completed a long and very successful tour of the Australian stations, where she frequently took leading parts in operas adapted for radio. Miss Lorimer left Christchurch eight years ago. going straight to Milan, where she studied with Madame Rosina Storchio, one of Italy’s greatest singers.
