Rugby Player Honoured. Wilfred Woolier, the Welsh international Rugby player, ivas, at Colwyn Bay, his native town, presented last month with an illuminated address. This contained the Borough Council’s resolution oi appreciation or his services to Welsh Rugby. The presentation was made by the Mayor, Ml. David Edwards. Mr. Edwards described Woolier as the greatest threequarter playing to-day. Ho referred to his brilliant performance against the New Zealand touring team and the prominent part he played in gaining the Rugby championship for Wales.
Lawn Tennis Shots. Mr. Wallace Myers, the English lawn tennis critic, while on a visit to Melbourne, wrote to the effect that, in his opinion, Nancye Wynne had a greater variety of shots than Thelma Coyne, and would therefore go further in the game. This may or may ■lot be so. but it is certainly Hue that in these girls Australia has two very tine exponents of the game, who, with a little more excellence, should be equal to the world's best.
