REGENT THEATRE
"QUEEN OF HEARTS” The extended season “Queen of Hearts,” iMiss Gracie Fields’s latest talkie closes at the Regent Theatre tonight. John Loder is the leading man in this story, which has built up a talkie of riotous doings interpreted in Gracie Field’s inimitable manner. The story tells of how she wanted to be a singer, so they made her an apache dancer. It is said that her dance of death is one of the funniest things seen on the screen for many a day. Among the short subjects is a feature entitled “Fish from Hell.” There are some excellent shots of deep-sea fishing, including underwater battles between a shark and an octopus. The photography is said to be remarkable. To-morrow’s change will be “The Dark Angel,” featuring Merle Oberon with Herbert Marshall and Fredric Marsh.
