FAREWELL PRESENTATION

Mr. G. L. Darrell and Mrs. Darvell, who left this morning on route for their new home in Inglewood, were farewelled at the Harvest Home Social held on Monday last at the Methodist Hall. Mr. C. G. Cunnold, on behalf of those present, presented them with a travelling-rug and conveyed the best wishes of their fellow church members for their future happiness and success. Mr. Darvell, in accepting the gift, referred to his 24 years’ residence in Hastings, and thanked all for their friendly goodwill and the tokens of affection.

Mr. Darvell, who has served in the choir and as circuit steward, and Mrs Darvell, who has assisted in every good cause and served on various committees, will be greatly missed. Other members present expressed their appreciation of their association with Mr. nnd Mrs. Darvell and joined in wishing them God-speed.
