Technical 0.8. Club The annual meeting of the Napier Technical Old Boy s ’'Football Club was held last evening, the president, Mr F. Whitley, presiding over a large attendance of members. The annual report (published elsewhere) and balance-sheet were adopted. The latter showed a credit balance of £l4 13/3. Commenting upon the activities of the club during the past year, Mr V. T. Rouse referred to D. Dalton’s inclusion in the All Blacks. “Before ho left Napier, ho told us on the park that lie would do all in his power to uphold the honour of his club while away,’’ he said. “Well, I think you will all agree that he has done this very thoroughly.” The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr R. McLaren; president, R. Ferguson; vice-presidents, Messrs C, Brjasco, C. T. Plested, A. H. Annan, E. B. McKeehnie, J. Snaddon, J. D. Campbell, L. H. Heighten, A. Jeusen, A. Dalltmore, M. Blennerhassett, A. M. Williams, L. Brogh, J. Cobb, F. Whitley, Dickson, A. B. Hurst, F. Mills, V. Hawke, W. M. Angus and Dr. H. Barnett; club-captain, Mr T. Rankin; bon, secretary, Mr F. 8. Northe; as-sistant-secretary, Mr Ivor Venables.; hon. treasurer, Mr E. Elliott; hon. auditor, Mr H. W. S. Walker; committee, Messrs R. Boyle, D. Hutton, R. Trenwith, all teams’' coaches and captains; delegates to H.8.R.U., Messrs A. D. Lynch and V. T. Rouse. Tributes to the excellent services rendered to the club by the retiring president were paid by the new president and by the club captain, Mr T. Rankin.
The president also paid a tribute to the services of the retiring president, Mr Rouse, who had held office almost since the club's inception. On the motion of Mr A. D. Lynch, he was appointed a life member, which, as Mr Lynch explained, was the highest honour the club could bestow' upon any member.
Appreciation of the services of the lion, treasurer, Mr H. W. S. Walker, in encouraging the club’s finances, was placed on record. The allocation of coaches for the various teams is to receive the consideration of the executive committee. The following new members were elected:—H. Scott, R. Little, B. Rigby, R. Field, J. Watters 11. Sharpies. Clegg, S G. Cockerill, A Brown, J Hickey, L. Lissette, K. Brookes. C. Cross, Morrissey, E. Wiig, D. Gollop.
