South Island Event Concluded BLEDISLOE TROPHY By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, March 15. The official South Island air pageant concluded yesterday. The weather was perfect in the morning, but at mid-day a strong north-wester sprang up, and veering round to the scuth-west brought heavy chilling rain. The attendance was about 5000 which, in the circumstances, could be considered satisfactory. Results of competitions were:— Bledisloe trophy.—R. McSkimming (Otago) 1, Mrs Boulton (Canterbury) P, K. D. Max (Nelson) 3. “Herald” trophy.—J. V. Reid (Wairarapa) 1, W. Cameron (Southland) 2, M R. Greenslade (Otago) 3. Gloucester trophy. — I. H. Keith (Western Federated) 1, J. H. M. Smith (Southlaud) 2, J. Buckeridgo (Wairarapa) 3. Bombing.—K. Mitchell (Otago) 1, E. Liverton (Wellington) 2, R. D. Brown (Hawke's Bay) 3. Junior Landing. — Miss B. Black (Otago) 1, G. Cunningham (Wairarapa) 2, B. Watson (Southland) 3. Best Club Turn-Out.—Otago 1,2, 3, and 4. Senior Aerobatics.—J. M. Buckcridgo (Wairarapa) 1, J. H. M. Smith (Southland) 2. Senior Landing Competition .— D. Benton (Otago) 1, I’. G. White (Hawke’s Bay) 2, R, B. Robinson (Aucgland). Junior Aerobatics.—J. R. Buchanan (Wairarapa-Ruahinc) 1, P. A. Matheson (Otago) 2.
