NATIONALISED BANK
Canadian Move (Received 16, 9 a.m.) OTTAWA, March 14. The Finance Minister, Mr. Charles Dunning, has given notice that nationalisation of the Bank of Canada will be carried out by an increase of capital stock from 5,000,000 dollars to 11,000,000 dollars with the purchase of an extra 6.000,000 dollars’ worth of shares of the Government, thus ensuring control. Mr Graham Towers will continue as governor, with the Government appointing a majority of director*.
