The Pakowhai bridge, which has been closed for the last three weeks for repairs, was reopened io traffic this afternoon. Hedgehogs are said to bo subject to Iho common cold which affects human beings. Ferrets nnd mice are immune to this infection, although both are susceptible to human influenza.
