Sir Thomas Inskip, formerly Attorney-General has been appointed Defence Minister. Sir Thomas Inskip’s appointment came as a complete surprise. He will take up his duties immediately. Ho will have a seat on the Cabinet with the title of Minister for the Co-ordination of Defence. He will exercise daily control of the Committee on Imperial Defence and will be responsible for ms and consultations iff.
