Championship Singles lhe first ad second rounds of the championship singles were decided at the Fort Ahuriri Bowling Club links this morning. The following are the results:— hirst round: Johnson (Port) 19 v. laikinson (Hastings} 18; Henderson (Heretaunga) 21 v. Patterson <Waipaua; 1U; jjryan (Napier) 29 v. Martin (Waipukurau) 15; I'orsytn (Wairere) v. winner (National Service) iw Brown (Kia Toa) 28 v. Coombe (Havelock) 11; McLellan (Bluff) 19 v. Oliver (Omarunui) 12. Second round: McLellan (Bluff) 17 v. Biown (Kia Toa) 11; Oliver (Omarunui) 19 v. Coombe (Havelock) lb; horsy th (Wairere) 19 y. uryan (JNapier) 12; Martin (Waipukurau) 15 v. Wilmer (National Service) 16; Johnson (Port) 18 v. Henderson (Heretaunga) 11; Patterson (Wuipawa) 18 v. Parkinson (Hastings) 16. The third round is being decided this afternoon.
