An American golfer had a mortifying experience when playing at Durham, North Carolina. He holed out in one, but lost the hole. He played two balls apparently out of bounds, but his third shot from the tee went into the cup, a. distance of 220 yards. It was then discovered that his first shot had not gone out of bounds, and he had to play it, holing out in four. His opponen. holed out in thiee, and thus won the hois.
