Angle Method at Waipawa From Our Own Correspondent. WAIPAWA, March 13. Arising out of the report of the traffic inspector to the monthly meeting of the Waipawa Borough Council last night the question of angle parking in the main street is to be considered. The Mayor said the suggestions made by the inspector were of considerable merit, and the council should seriously consider the matters presented. Cr Limbrick commended the suggestions made, and also said that attention should be given to the matter of parking in the main street. He had had a number of complaints as to lack of space, and he thought angle parking should be introduced. This would then give ample room. The Mayor said he had discussed this matter with the inspector who suggested one side only should be marked for angle parking, as he thought this would meet the requirements of motor ists. He had asked the inspector to map out a comprehensive scheme coveting thq proposal. Cr Furniiuger said he eould not agree that this would be satisfactory, and the only way to save confusion was to have angle parking on both sides of the street. The Mayor said that the matter of expense in marking out had to be considered, but Cr Furminger thought this could be overcome. The finance committee and Cr Fur minger were empowered to confer with traffic inspector, nnd deal with the matter of parking areas. Cr Limbrick drew attention to dam age caused to buildings occupied by M: Woods through parking of cycles against the wall, and suggested a park ing stand should be provided. Tim Mayor said that the matter was cov ered by the by laws, and the overseer was given instructions to enforce such bylaw.
