Fruit, exporters who signed a petition against the single agency policy of the Fruit Control Board and those wishing to sign this petition are reminded of an important meeting to bo held at McCutcheon’s packing shed to-night (Wednesday), December 4, at 8 p.m.

The last monthly women’s meeting for this year will be held at Nelson Street Hall on Thursday afternoon at 2.30 p.m. A special invitation is given to mothers with children. Owing to the holiday season approaching the next monthly meeting will not be held until the first Thursday in February.

A garden party will be held to-mor-row (Thursday) at the residence of Mrs. McMillan, Norton road. There will be the usual attractions, and gifts of all kinds may be purchased. The Methodist Ladies’ Guild are providing afternoon tea at a nominal charge, but there will be no charge for admission. Tho Havelock bus passes the street within three minutes’ walk of the house. Mrs. H. J. Odell, of Napier, will open the party at 2.30 o’clock, and should the weather be unsuitable for an outdoor function it will be held in Wesley Halt'
