Lightning Kills Woman MUCH DAMAGE TO CROPS (Received 4, 11.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, Ike. 4. Vi I olent storms swept across the southern and eastern parts of NewSouth Wales yesterday, causing thousands of pounds’ worth of damage to crops and buildings. Torrential downpours were experienced at a number of places Miss Nina Tongs, aged 21, was driving a sulky near Wyalong when the vehicle was struck by lightning. Miss Tongs was killed instantly. A boy accompanying her escaped with severe gurus.
