CHILDREN’S CONCERT

A concert of a somewhat unusuai, but nevertheless wholly delightful and enjoyable character, was given by the children of the Hawke’s Bay Homes, to the many generous and helpful friends who had contributed in many ways to the children s welfare during the year, and as an appreciation ol the kindness shown to the little ones. The programme included dancing, singing and recitations, and was gone through in a manner which bespoke careful training. Those present gave evidence of their appreciation of the efforts of the children by hearty applause. A very appetising supper was served by the children. Much credit is due to Mrs C. Douglas, who assisted the children, the result being a very enjoyable concert.
