CHRISTMAS CHEER
Havelock North Fund
The Havelock North Town Board has once more opened up its Christmas Cheer Fund with a donation of £5.
The purpose of the fund is to provide some extra comfort at Christmas for those who are temporarily “up against it.” Last year a sum of £43, besides goods, was distributed, and all State boarded-out children were given a Christmas treat.
It is hoped that this year a sufficient sum will be raised to enable the committee to assist all known cases of distress.
Donations of cash or goods will be gladly accepted by the clerk to the board, Mr W. H. Anderson,
