SUMMING EXERCISES

Things to Avoid

Not many of us can devote sufficient time to playing games,, such as golf, tennis, badminton and squash racquets, that will give us all the exercise we need. Hiding is beyond most of us, and we may not be able to take even a walk of two or three miles every day, but nearly everyone can find time to do a few physical exercises every day. It may be uncohifortable to get out of bed a quarter of an hour earlier than usual on a cold morning to do exercises in a chilly room, but if we only can persevere the results are really good. If there is absolutely no time for exercises in the morning, then resolve to devote ten minutes to them before going to bed. Deep breathing and stretching exercises are most valuable. Here are a few slimming exercises: — Stand with your legs apart, but the arms above the head, bend down and touch the right loot. Straighten the body, raise the arms, then bend down and touch the left foot. Repeat this a dozen times. Stretch right arm out in front and left arm out behind. Lunge forward, bending right leg and keeping left leg stiff. Spring back, with heels together, and repeat movement, bending left leg and keeping right leg stiff. Do this twelve times. Stand erect end, with the hands on the hips, swing the left leg backwards and forwards as far as possible, keeping it quite straightDo this about a dozen times, then repeat with the right leg.
