OBITUARY
Mrs. J. C. Sutton hie death is reported fruin Marlicirough of an old resident of the district, Mrs Jane Chamberlain Sutton, it the age of 73. Coining to New Zealand at an ear!\ age with her parents n the sailing ship Ckelia, she settled n Nelson until the death of her parents, when she moved to Marl»oroiigh. Later she was married to Mr b'rancis Sutton, living lor many fears in the Waikaho Valiev and subsequently at Mt. Pleasant. On the leath of her husband in 1919 she removed to Newman. Wanarapa, with ler only brother, who predeceased her iy only a few months. Twelve months she suhered from a severe illness,
iecovering only sullieivntly to enable her to rid mu to the Marlborough dis-* I riel. Mrs Sutton is survived by a family of eight sons. Messrs I',. W. Sutton (I'uxton), 11. J. Sutton (Wainkn), (i. I. J. and J. h. Sutton (Mahakipava), J. C. Sutton (Blenheim), C. G. It. Sutton (Napier), S. A. Sutton (Eketabuna) and A. J. L. Sutton (Hastings) and five daughters, Mesdames 11. I). Western (Picton), P. ityan i Hamilton) C. 11. Cooper (New man). H O Eqi.'ire (Tua Marina) and Miss L. Sutton (Wellington). There are 2S grandchildren and lout great grandchild ren.
