Following is the Government Meteorologist’s summary and forecast for the Central, East and North-east district for the 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day:— General Inference: Yesterday’s cyclone is now centred east of East Cape, but pressure is fulling in the south into the approach of another depression across the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Moderate to strong south-westerly winds, veering to westerlies. Weather: Changeable, with scattered ehowers, but Improving temporarily and becoming milder. Seas: Rather rough to rough. HIGH TIDE.
