THE ROYAL SHOW
Notes for Exhibitors DATES FOR ENTRIES The near approach of the Royal Show, to be held at the Tomoana showgrounds on Wednesday and Thursday, October 23 and 24, is making it important for intending visitors to take into account the need for sending their entries in early. Although entries for the school classes close to-morrow (Wednesday), September 18, for all other classes, except the stock classes on Wednesday, September 25, and for the stock classes on Saturday, September 28, entries should be made as early as possible to facilitate the preparations for the catalogue and other work in connection with the show, which is sure to be abnormally heavy. Exhibitors of stock, too, are particularly requested to fill in the form re transport of stock, which is to be found on a pink leaflet in the schedule. This information is absolutely indispensible, and the prompt filling in of the form will save much correspondence having to be entered into later. Breeders of all classes of stock will find the stock section much fuller than usual, while the extra prize money and trophies in a large number of the classes make it well worth while for breeders from all parts of the Dominion to be represented by their best. Entries may be made at either the society’s office, Church street, Napier, or at Mr F. C. Wilkinson’s office, Queen street, Hastings, where the secretary will be in attendance on Wednesdays and Fridays for the purpose of receiving entries.
