COUNTY CLUB DANCE
The Hawke’s Bay branch of the Correspondence Ex-pupils’ Association held a very happy evening at the Country Club on Friday, when those present danced and played . games in the beautifully-decorated rooms. The winners of the Monte Carlo waltz were Mrs Crawford and Mr Collins. Those present were: — Mrs Crawford, model trained gown of black velvet with white inset into the skirt.
Miss Edna Wall, n black taffeta skirt with a dainty tunic of gold lame. Mrs M. McGaffin. wine wool georgette trimmed with buttercup georgette. Miss Phyllis Burt, a prettv frock cf pink organdie, with a frilled hemline. Miss- Mavis McNiece wore pale blue taffeta, having short puffed sleeves. Miss Jeanette McGaffin wore black suede crepe with a V neckline and diamond clasp. Miss Betty Usherwood, blue taffeta frock with frilled hemline. Miss Marie Pettman, floral frock with yellow cape trimmed with white fur.
Miss Nancy Crawford, pretty pink taffeta cut on fitting lines and a velvet cape to tone.
Miss Jean Young, pale green crepe de-chene.
Miss Gwen McGaffin, floral frock in shades of green with .a square neckline.
Messrs Crawford. J. and T. McNiece Collins (2E D. McGaffin, S. O’Neill. Usherwood and others.
