Members of the Waimarama Golf Club journey to Parkvale during the week-end to meet a team in an interclub game. Considering that this was their first visit, they put up a very creditable performance against the Parkvale players. Lawson-Little w'on the United States amateur golf championship for the second consecutive time, defeating Emery four up and three to play. Little and Emery entered the finals by defeating Goodman and Lynch respectively, in both cases by four up and three to play. ‘•NEWS OF WORLD” TOURNEY Padgham Beats Alliss LONDON, Sept. 13. Padgham defeated Alliss, 3 and 2, in the final of the “News of the World” golf tournament. Alliss in the first round putted brilliantly and led one up with a round of 63. Padgham, in the second round, drove and played bis iron shots magnificently. At Port Rush Thomson retained the Irish amateur golf title, defeating Mei.ean ,5 and 4.
