TRAFFIC OFFENCES
Cases Heard in Napier
The majority of charges brought in the Napier Magistrate’s Court this morning had regard to breaches of traffic regulations. Mr J. Miller, S.M., occupied the bench. Two charges of carrying on an unlicensed goods service between Tutira and Napier were brought against John William Hedley (Mr A. E. Lawry). Convictions were entered and ho was fined £2, with costs 10/-, in regard to each case.
A fine of £l, with costs 10/-, was imposed upon Alfred Robert Bailey for overloading his lorry. For driving vehicles without first having procured a driver’s license, Bernard Madden, Henry James Munro and Francis Kilkenny were fined 10/-, with costs 10/-. Francis Douglas Kyle was convicted and fined £l, with costs 10/for a similar offence.
For riding a bicycle at night without a light, Keith Guthrie was fined £1 with costs 10/-. James William Parsons was fined 5/(without costs) for employing an unlicensed driver.
