HASTINGS TRACK NOTES

The mare impresses as being ready for early spring meetings.

On the course proper Salon and Maine were together all the way, to run seven furlongs in 1.37 J. Maine leaves early this week to run in the Champion Hack Plate at Avondale.

Queen’s Pride, doing it comfortably, ran three furlongs on the plough m 41Jsecs.

Padishah had the measure of Tidal Song in a six-furlong gallop on the course proper in 1.22 J.

Speed had his first run along since coming in from his spell, going three furlongs against the bit in 41}secs.
