Large Crowd at Reunion From Our Own Correspondent. TAKAPAU, July 4. The annual re-union of the members of the Takapau R.S.A. was held in the Takapau Hall on Wednesday evening, when there was a large muster of local men and visitors from Waipawa, Waipukurau, Norsewood and other R.S.A. branches.

After dinner was served in the lavish style associated with the Takapau Hotel, a most enjoyable social evening was spent to which the following contributed much enjoyed items:— Messrs E. G. Collin, N. M. Tilley, R. Jackson, W. Te Tan, Dan Kotua and others, for whom Mr Ken McKenzie, Waipukurau, played the accompaniments.

Mr H. C. Tennent, president, presided and was toast master for the following toasts: —“King,” Mr. H C. Tennent; “R.5.A.,” Mr A. EL dull, M.P., responded to by Mr Tennent. “Absent Comrades,” Mr J. O. Rollcston; “War Relief Association,” Mr Tilly, responded to by Mr W. Cuthbertson; “Visitors,” Mr W. J. Smith, responded by Mr Williams, president of the Waipukurau R.S.A., C. H. St. Hill, and Air Bishop, president of the Norsewood R.S.A.; “Ladies,” Major McDonnell.

Appreciative remarks were made to the manner in which Air and Mrs Murphy catered for and attended to all the wants of tho gathering, and the manner in which they threw open the house added not a little to the pleasure of an enjoyable re-union.
