CORONIAL INQUIRIES

The Law in Australia PROPOSED AMENDMENT Echo of Tattooed Arm Case (By Telegraph—Press Assru—Copyright.) (Received 26, 10.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 26. The Minister of Justice, Mr. Martin, proposes to make recommendations to Cabinet for an amendment to the lawin relation to coronial inquiries. Mr. Martin said that conditions today were so entirely different from conditions prevailing when the present law was made that it was essential that tho law should be overhauled to conform to conditions to-day. “I am doing that, and I think the Government would be well advised to consider the question of giving greatoi facilities to a coroner to proceed with an inquest when part of the body is produced of a person whom the coroner is convinced is dead,” said Mr. Martin.
