UNITED CROQUET CLUB
Alembers ot the United Croquet Club met in their pavilion, Nelson Park, Napier, on Friday afternoon, when there was a very large attendance. Officers elected for the coming season were as follow:—President and treasurer, Airs R. Bayliffe; secretary, Airs A. J. Anderson, captain, Airs 1). Evans; committee, Alesdames A. Y. McCarthy, H. J. Bailey, T. Hutchinson, L. Freedman, W. Fraser and C. Corner; delegate to the Croquet Association. Airs L. Freedman; referee, Mrs D. Evans; selectors, Alesdames D. Eva is, H. Colbert and H. J. Bailey. The balance-sheet showed the club’s finances to be in a very satisfactory position
Afternoon tea and pleasant chat filled in the afternoon. Members look forward to many enjoyable games in the coming season
Kia Toa Meeting
The annual general meeting of the Kia Toa Croquet Club was held in the pavilion before a good attendance of members, Mrs Kemp presiding. Several new members were proposed and accepted The election of officers resulted as follows: —1 •.txwinnl, Mrs Kemp (reelected i; vice-president, Mrs Ross; secretary, Mrs Hill; treasurer, Airs Brinsley; captain, Mrs Ashworth; vicecaptain, Airs Ross; committee, Mcsdaines Graham, Harris and Anderson; selector. Mrs Ashworth; delegate to association meetings, Mrs Ashworth.
