EVENING OF PLAYS
The Hastings Players
A most entertaining evening was enjoyed by the very large audience at the evening of one-act plays presented by the Hastings Players under the direction of Mr A. Stanley Warwick in the Oddfellows ’ Hall last night. Three splendid plays were given, and the audience showed their keen appreciation with well-merited applause. In between the first and second plays Miss Margaret Marshall delighted the audience with a group of songs. She chose “0, Western Wind,” ‘‘Lio There, My Lute,” ‘‘Trees,” and “Danny Boy.” Miss Gven McLeod played the accompaniments. Miss Marshall wore a black skirt with her long evening blouse of rust-red silk patterned in a golden wheat-ear design.
